Saturday August 30th- Cardiff
This evening we had a great chance to get out to the beach and beat the inland heat with Jena and Tim.
We always suggest our couples bring along something to do on their session that will reflect something they would normally do together. For Jena and Tim it was baseball. If you scroll down a couple of blogs, you will see Claire and Rich, who also share the same love. The funny coincidence is that these two are getting married a week apart. I think maybe a newlywed baseball challenge might be fun, what do you think guys? ;0)
Jena’s Dad came along to help out and did agreat job holding things, throwing balls and keeping an eye on our gear. We thank you sooo much!

crystal and scott’s el prado wedding August 31, 2008

Today we spent the afternoon with Crystal and Scott in Balboa Park for their beautiful wedding at The Prado.
With all of the weddings we have done, we found it amazing that we never had a wedding at the Prado, and were really excited to find out we would be working there with Crystal and Scott.
Their day was just beautiful, and the love between these two just sets your heart on fire!

Thursday August 28th
This evening we had the best time taking over Petco Park with Claire and Rich!
Where better to do a session with HUGE baseball fans, even though they are for rival teams, it looks to us like it will all work out in the end ;0)
Claire and Rich are getting married next year in August at Gershon Bachus.

Mildred and Ben- a mini session for us August 26, 2008
Monday August 25
This afternoon Skip and I went out to Low Willows for the wedding of Mildred and Ben.
Today was a little different for us; we usually shoot together but we do get a couple bookings a year for weddings that require less coverage and only one photographer…..so today Skip got to be the assistant and I was solo. Every time I do this I keep thinking how nice it to always have a fantastic partner shooting with me, and how hard it is to cover both of our parts myself. One of the hardest parts was doing it all in 2 hours.. I always seem to want it all! ;o)
Mildred and Ben were so sweet, we hadn’t had a chance to meet until right before the wedding, but they very quickly felt like old friends, two really wonderful people! I loved how they chose the date of their wedding… it was the anniversary of their first date!
As always Los Willows was beautiful, I LOVE shooting out there, every step puts you right into another amazing photo op!

helana and erik’s wedding day at oceanview villas! August 26, 2008
Saturday August 23rd Oceanview Villas
Today Skip and I headed out with both of our assistants Janelle and Erin to cover Helena and Eriks wedding at the B – utiful Oceanview Villas in Sunset Cliffs. Skip and I have been looking forward to Helena and Erik’s wedding since … well…… forever! We first met Helena and Erik early last year when we shot Helena’s sister’s Senior Session. We were so excited when they asked us to be their wedding photographers, right from the beginning we could tell this was one very special couple!
The weather was perfect, and Helena and Erik did an AMAZING job on all of the special little details that I know they must have spent months on, the venue looked incredible!
And then Helena in her gown… WOWZA girl… she rocked it! The perfect gown for a beach wedding! My favorite part was the back and train; it just made me think Mermaid and the ruffles made me think of seashells, she was stunning!
One of the best parts of the day… this is hard because there were so many… but around sunset Skip and I went down to the beach with Helena and Erik and got the most amazing shots ever with the two of them in the water… yes, she went in!
I also loved….. loved the special dances they did! They had 2 beautifully choreographed and well-executed dances. SYTYCD…. Look out! We may have your next two dancers!
Also, it was SOOOO great seeing Diane and Joe again! We did Diane and Joe’s wedding a couple of years ago at Tom Hams… I love these two!
I could go on and on about this wedding, the love between these two, their amazing families,the cake,the lighting, the food that was sooo great, oops……well I guess I just did hunh ;o)
But now, on to our favorites, and favorite moments of the day!

Jessica and Andrew say “I DO” at the Hilton Mission Bay August 19, 2008
Sunday August 17th Day 2 of our double header weekend!
Day 2 of our double header wedding weekend had us out at the beautiful Hilton on Mission Bay.. I love that hotel! Again the weather was perfect, with a great breeze blowing off of the bay.
Jessica and Andrews wedding was just beautiful… filled with so much love with family and friends, it was great being a part of everything, we had a blast!

Ericka and Seans La Jolla Shores Wedding August 19, 2008
Saturday August 16th
Saturday we had an amazing day with Ericka and Sean out at the La Jolla Shores Hotel.
The weather was perfect and the day ran beautifuly with Lynn Schuster coordinating.
Ericka and Sean saw each other before the ceremony, so we set up a special little first glimpse for the two of them and then went out to the beach with the Bridal party where we got some great shots!

erica and adam’s engagement session August 18, 2008
Friday August 15th
Skip and I headed out to our favorite beach spot in Cardiff to meet with Erica and Adam for their engagement session. The beach is one of my favorite places, so creativity always seems to be endless. The fact that Erica and Adam are amazingly adorable together didn’t hurt either!
Adam brought along his Harley.. that was the most fun “prop” we had anyone bring along in a long time!
Erica and Adam are getting married at Los Willows on Valentines Day next year.
We just know these two are going to have one Ah-Mazing wedding day!
