Last month while looking at my shoes, someone asked me kiddingly if I was going to do the Stiletto walk . I had no idea what they were talking about and listened intently while I got all of the details about Escondido’s Stiletto Walk to benefit ovarian cancer. It took me about 5 seconds to decide that this was a fantastic cause and what a great thing it would be for Shadow Boudoir to get behind. I contacted all of our girls and they were 100% with me. So early this evening we all met at the studio and pinned on our racing numbers, and headed to downtown Escondido to rock our stilettos for a great cause.

We arrived, registered and then had the great pleasure of meeting this couple who really touched all of our hearts and brought home the true meaning of this event. The woman has ovarian cancer and in the past 2 years has been through 35 chemo sessions. Next week they are going in for another catscan… we all pray that they get great results.

To show his support, her husband jumped into a pair of heels to walk the walk… I love this shot, to me it sums up the entire event, and seriously tugs at my heart.

So no team would be complete without a coach… look who we found to coach us for the day! We couldnt get him into the famous Shadow zebra shoes, but thanks to Skip they got to make an apperance at the event!

While we were standing around waiting for the walk to start… along comes this guy….. we knew in a heartbeat he would be a great addition to the team, so we signed him on to Team Shadow Boudoir, no worries ladies though, I promise you wont see him in the studio for your session ;o)

Next… we ran into Mayor Lori! Skip and I have known Escondido’ s Mayor Lori for years through our involvement in the Arts in Escondido, she is a great supporter of the arts, and also our work… our town has the sweetest mayor anywhere!

So by now we are getting a little restless and are ready to roll……. so more pics girls… love all the shoes!

Finally…. we’re off! The walk was supposed to be 2 blocks… but I think someone didnt calculate the route right, all told, we went 4 blocks in these puppies, but we all made it and had a fabulous time!

THE END!
