Kim and Hugo’s sunset beach session…. or sort of trash the dress session July 28, 2009

Monday July28th

This evening we had the opportunity to get together with Kim and Hugo again for Part II of their wedding session. Kim and Hugo’s biggest wish for their wedding images was to have pictures done at the beach. Timing the day of the wedding made that impossible, so we all decided to get together the day after to get those shots.

It was so great seeing them again! Mom nature wasnt 100% with us, we had a really thick fog bank in, but just at the end, she gave us a little bit of a break and let the sun burst right on through as it sank into the Pacific…. nice….. thanks mom!

Kim and Hugo from Denver to San Diego to say “We DO”! July 27, 2009

Sunday July 27th

Team Shadowcatcher headed down to Mission Bay and The Dana Hotel and Marina for Kim and Hugo’s Wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect and the day couldn’t have gone much better!

Kim and Hugo’s wedding was filled with so many fun little surprises from start to finish… one we for sure are going to remember for a loooong time!

Today we are going to get together again with Kim and Hugo for a romantic sunset beach session. Kim and Hugo really wanted to do their bride & groom session on the beach, but timing was just going to be too tight the day of the wedding, so we suggested an shoot the day after, so that we could have the time to get them those perfect beach shots they so want, so check back tomorrow for part 2 of Kim and Hugo’s wedding.

Bridal Gowns are growing on trees down at the Dana! ;o)  Sorry… just could”nt resist that one!

Ok… best entrance EVER by a groom and his groomsmen! WOW! These guys looked AWESOME as the made their way to the ceremony on their beach cruisers! I had chills!

Ok… hold me down cuz, I’m jumpin out of my seat here! July 23, 2009

I just saw the cover of this weeks/San Diego Reader, and one of our images from Fashion Week Escondido is on the cover!

In my land… this is beyond exciting! We are sooo thrilled to get this cover!

I think I will be going out and getting a few copies…. right now!

A BIG thank you to Julieanne Jones of Studio 158 for hooking us up with Fashion Week, it was a blast, and this just makes it all the better!

Lara and Mike’s Steamy Los Willows Wedding July 20, 2009

July 19th

Today was day 2 of  our double header wedding weekend at Los Willows.  With the weatherman predicting record high temps, we packed loads of water and Gatorade to keep up going. The temperature broke 100 but did nothing to take away from the beauty of this wedding!

Lara and Mike chose fuchsia as one of their wedding colors, and everything looked amazing! Lara used feathers too as part of her decor, one of my very favorite accents! Lara had told me that her dream wedding included her riding in on a horse and carriage, and her dream came true with the help of her mom and her friend Sioux. …. oh, and Bob, I loved Bob, he was the horse, a beautiful Palomino, who loved having his picture taken, and I soooo loved taking it! Thank you Bob!

Everything ran so beautifuly, the staff at Los Willows as always was just amazing!

Lara and Mike are now off to Maui for a dream honeymoon… Team Shadowcatcher wishes you both all the best! What an amazing couple you two are!

Shamayne & Mike’s Bright and Sunny Los Willows Wedding July 18, 2009

Friday July 18th

This weekend brings us back to Los Willows for wedding number one in our Los Willows double header weekend for the wedding of Shamayne and Mike.

Shamayne and Mike had an absolutely beautiful wedding. Everything was decorated in bright yellows and white. This was the first time I had seen bright yellow used in a wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! The colors so bright and vibrant, it fit the warm summer day perfectly!

Shamayne’s gown was STUNNING, a beautiful satin with bling all the way up the back from hem to bodice. It suited her to a tee!Elegant and graceful.

Shamayne and Mike are just the best ever to work with, their love for eachother is totaly magical. They are so in to eachother that I think you could have 20 cameras on them and tell them to ignore the cameras and just get into the moment and then very easily can!

Monday evening in balboa park with rebeca and justin July 14, 2009

Monday July 13th

This evening we had a chance to get away from the computers and head to Balboa park for ngagement session. We haven’t done an engagement session in Balboa Park for a long time and were really looking forward to working there again.

We had a great time getting to know Rebeca and Justin, and LOVED how empty the park was. Monday evening seems to be the best time to go!

Rebeca and Justin are getting married in September up in the wine country, and we can’t wait for this one!

Sally and Will’s Beach wedding July 13, 2009

Saturday July 11th

Today team Shadowcatcher headed out to Carlsbad for the wedding of Sally and Will.

Today was a little unusual for us because we didn’t start until right before the ceremony. .. but we jumped right in and captured every moment we could get ;o)

The ceremony was held on a small private lot in Carlsbad with a beautiful view of the ocean. After their ceremony, we headed over to the Beach House in Cardiff for the reception.

Since we opened our new studio last March, we have been really eager to get some family studio sessions going!

Sunday July 5th…..

Skip and I couldn’t wait to get out of the Escondido heat and over to the coast for our session with Jessica and Greg! By the time we got there it was 20 degrees cooler… woooya!

Jessica and Greg live in Maryland and had found us online when searching for photographers. San Diego is Jessica’s hometown and their 2011 wedding will here, so what better place for their engagement session!

We had a great time getting to know these two and got some really fun shots! And the sunset… finally … made an appearance… so long June Gloom!

I have never felt or honestly believed that I could look so beautiful and with your help and Taras you made it happen. I wish I could share you with the world. You both are amazing and thank you for capturing all the splendid chaos. Now I get to see my wedding through everyone else’s eyes. There is sooo much gratitude and with my trouble with words its hard for me to share the gratitude I feel. All I can say is thank you for making my wedding a dream come true. Best to you both and thank you for being such wonderful people. I hope someday our paths cross again.
