A vintagy homecoming recreation e-sesh for Debbie and Josue- San Diego wedding photographer

Thursday December 1st 2011

Our engagement session today with Debbie and Josue was one we were really excited about. Not only we were we getting the opportunity to work with the couple that is being honored with the Wounded Warrior Dream Wedding package, but also getting the opportunity to step a bit outside the box photographically.

Debbie and Josue will be getting married at Los Willows in January. This couple has been through so much with Josues injuries in the service. While overseas, Josue lost an eye and  one of his legs in an explosion in Afghanistan. We along with some other select wedding vendors, and Los Willows are so honored that we are able to give something back to this amazing couple. Shadowcatcher has donated a complete wedding package to them as our little way of giving back.

Today we began our photo journey with Debbie and Josue at the Flying Leatherneck Museum in Miramar. Since they never had the opportunity to do the traditional homecoming, we brainstormed together to come up with a fun homecoming with a vintage feel. The staff at the Flying Leatherneck Museum was so wonderful heping us pull this all together. When we arrived they were met by General Butcher who welcomed them and who was also grateful for the opportunity to thank this marine for his service to out country.

I was amazed by all of the historically significant planes we have here right in our backyard!

Here are  a few of our faves from the session…..

We are so loking forward to working with this couple again at their wedding in January!
