Kara and Mark’s Beautiful Wedding at Los Willows 10-10!

Saturday we had the extreme pleasure of working with Kara and Mark capturing all of those amazing memories at their  wedding at Los Willows in Fallbrook.

The fall weather was unseasonably warm but our bride still looked FABULOUS! Everyone had a great time and the true love of this couple was felt strongly throughout the day!

A stunning wedding at The US Grant Hotel for Veronica & Kimo~ San Diego Wedding Photographer

When we were contacted by Veronica and Kimo’s wedding coordinators Jessica
Gillon and Tara of Events by Design, and heard the details about this amazing Gatsby Inspired wedding theme we knew this wedding would be beautiful, but were beyond surprised by just how absolutely fabulous it was! Veronica and Kimo chose the historic US Grant for their venue. This was the perfect fit for for their vintage Gatsby vision. The lower level of the US Grant is home to the stunning Crystal Ballroom where the ceremony took place, and the Celestial room where the reception was held. The Crystal Ballroom was a vision out of a dream. Decorated all in white flowers and hundreds of candles by The Splendid Sentiments team, the ceremony itself was a vision of romance and elegance.

The reception held in the Celestial room, seriously took my breath away when I first saw it! The entire feel and experience created by our talented team of wedding vendors was exceptional. Veronica and Kimos guests all beautifully dressed in formal wear entered the ballroom and were greeted by a team waiters offering flutes of champagne/ DJ Blake helped enhance the feel and mood with a mix of sexy club music which started softly and got louder as the entrance experience continued. The guests were dazzled by the look and feel of the room, I had goosebumps! It was a true lux experience!

Veronica was stunning in her white satin gown, and Kimo as handsome as can be in a black tux and bow tie. The romance and love between these two just made the day!

Aurora & Sean’s Los Willows Wedding~ San Diego wedding photographer

Thursday June 25th at Los Willows

On a gorgeous summer day Aurora and Sean said their “I Do’s” This day was filled with so much love and happiness, it was impossible not to get all caught up in it and get teary eyed as well!

Here is the story of Aurora and Sean  as told by the fabulous ~ The Wedding Rev — Don Toshach

After being introduced by a friend of a friend, Aurora and Sean ran into each other at the movies. Then they decided to extend the evening by hanging out at a local lounge. There was a strong connection between the two of them, but Sean thought he was getting the brush-off from Aurora when she said she couldn’t give him her number because her new phone was coming in the mail. Fortunately, their military duties often placed them together, and it took some flirting before Aurora to convince Sean that she wasn’t blowing him off. Second date: Mini-golf and go-carts. Then dinner. Then a late movie. They didn’t want the night to end. They fell hard for each other.
After each of them were deployed for a time, upon their return, Sean decided to pop the question to Aurora on a hot air balloon–not realizing that she is terrified of heights! She was shaking from fright more than nerves and shock when he got down on one knee, and then ended up sitting down. The ring box he produced was upside down as well. But a “Yes” was given, and they eventually made it back to terra firma as a newly engaged couple.
This afternoon at Los Willows in Fallbrook, they exchanged vows and rings before a small contingent of family and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Smith looked as smitten with one another as I could imagine they were on their first date. Congrats and best wishes for much happiness and fulfillment, Aurora and Sean

On Saturday our team was down in San Diego in Balboa Park at The Prado for the fabulous wedding of Victoria and Abel. Victoria and Abel were refereed to us by Shadowcatcher Alums Isela and Jay whose wedding we did a few years ago at Los Willows. Victoria chose pinks and ivories as her colors and they blended together beautiful to bring a light romantic feel to the day.

As always we were very inspired by all of the amazing architecture in the park that we were able to use a backgrounds for their images.

The other day we had the opportunity to have some fun woriking all over the downtown Gaslamp area with Veronica and Kimo. Veronica and Kimo are getting married this summer at The US Grant Hotel! A beautiful Easter Sunday wedding with Rosie & Kris at Los Willows ~ San Deigo Wedding Photographer

Kris and Rosie tied the know today in a beautiful ceremony at Los Willows in Fallbrook.

“It was truly a Super Sunday back in February
2009. At Fred Mexican Cafe in Huntington Beach, a mutual friend of Kris and Rosie introduced them both as they watched Super Bowl XLIII (Cardinals vs. Steelers). Kris’s “game” quickly switched to flirting with Rosie and scored a date and her phone number before time ran out, literally and figuratively. One date led to another and another, and so on. Rosie adopted Kris’s teams (Seahawks, Angels, and Celtics as her own). They got serious enough that marriage was around the corner. Kris asked Rosie’s father Rudy for her hand in marriage, and he emphasized the terms of the deal were “No exchanges or returns. All sales final and she is yours.” Where would the proposal take place? None other than a restaurant in Seattle on a weekend when they had tickets to see the Seahawks play the Cowboys. The night before the game, as their fancy dinner out concluded, Kris dropped to one knee and popped the question. Rosie couldn’t believe it, slapping his shoulder and asked if he was lying or joking. Nope. It was the real thing. She said “Yes,” and the next day Kris’s ‘Hawks beat the ‘Boys for the wrap-up to the best engagement weekend ever!
Today on Easter Sunday, these two became Mr. and Mrs. Guerrero before about 100 guests at Los Willows in Fallbrook. All of the groomsmen plus the groom were outfitted with Justice League action figures instead of boutonnieres. A bright, beautiful, warm afternoon made it all the more idyllic. Happy Honeymooning in Cancun to the new Mr. and Mrs. Guerrero!”

A rainy day wedding at Twin Oaks Garden Estates in San Marcos – San Diego Wedding Photographer

Every wedding day is a special one, but when the wedding is one of your team, it is very special indeed! Our assistant and and team Shadow2 photographer Jeanne married her high school sweetheart Jeremy on March 1st! These two are a match made in hevan. Jeremy and Jeanne had their wedding at the Twin Oaks Garden Estates which was the perfect fit for their laid back causal, and natural style.

It was a day filled with love and laughter with family and friends from Lousianna, the couples hometown, and also many amazing wedding professionals that Jeanne had met during her work with us over the past few years. Florist and designer Tanni from Wanna Party worked closely with Jeanne creating the perfect look and feel for the vintage feel they wanted for the wedding. Gayle from a Sparkling Event by Gayle was the couples personal coordinator for the day of and made sure everything ran smoothly. Nan from Classic Filmworks and her daughter Niki captured the day in video, and then we also had from her Shadowcatcher family her work BFF Lori, Skip and me, and then a super surprise, ours and Jeanne’s good work friend Kendra jumped in and volunteered to help too throughout the day!

Although the rain dampened the day, somehow it wasnt a pronlem, in fact, it was perfect for Jeanne! The rain just made the event!

The reception was AH-mazing, with a live band and a DJ as MC, mixed with the unstructured vibe of a Louisana wedding, this party was happening BIG TIME!

This was a day I know all of us will remember, it was so special to us all.

Congratulations again Jeanne & Jeremy! And thank you to both your families for their wonderful hospitality, we all felt so welcomed!
