Brendalea and Troys Los Willows Wedding ~ San Diego Wedding Photographer

Today the team was back out at Los Willows for the wedding of Brendalea and Troy.

Brendalea and Troy chose a little bit of a USMC theme for their wedding and pulled everything together beautifuly incorporating some complimentary colors in their floral arrangements to give it a beautiful spring wedding feel.

The reception dress seems to be a big hit this season, our bride Kristi had one last week and Brendalea had a gorgeous one of her own tonight that she slipped into after the cake cutting. What a great idea! When it is time to get the party started these brides are much more comfortable for dancing and having a great time!

Yesterday had a little extra added element of photo fun for us… Los Willows just got a super fun 32 roadster golf cart  to be used as a special way for the groom to enter the ceremony, or just for some fun photo ops!

Thursday May 17th,

Every now and then we are booked for mid week wedding packages that are a little bit smaller, and have us there for a shorter amount of time than usual, but that never makes them any less fun! Today we were out at Los Willows in Fallbrook for the wedding of Lynda and Scott. The weather was absolutely perfect and the bright yellow and white colors that Lynda and Scott chose gave everything such a beautiful and fresh look!

Love was in the air!

Today team Shadowcatcher hit the road to Coronado for the wedding of a super fun couple… Kristi & Jordan!

Kids day on the Shadowcatcher Blog!

It’s interesting the different paths that life will lead you down. When we started shooting weddings in 2004, we really never imagined that we would own our own studio, much less have some amazing little people to work with in it. And here we are in 2012, doing it all! Our sister company Shadow Boudoir, not only does the sexy little gift for a groom… but also does those special “Belly Bump” sessions.

Our wedding clients have always felt like family to us, and after the wedding have continued to come back to us for maternity sessions… and then family and baby sessions! It is always so much fun to see how these couples’ lives have changed and have the opportunity to meet and photograph the little ones that have come along to start their families! We are so grateful to have the opportunity to continue to work with our couples and their growing families!

A super fun Engagement Session with Ashley and Bobby at Belmont Park! San Diego wedding photographer

Today we got to shoot at one of my favotite places for engagement sessions ~ Belmont Park. I LOVE all of the fun things we can do there. Nobody is every uncomfortable getting their picture taken when they are having.. well… a BLAST… right?

Alejandra and Sam’s Engagement session at Arbor Terrace

Today Skip and I were very happy to get away from our desks and editing and head out to Fallbrook to the Grand Traditions, Arbor terrace for an engagement session with Alejandra and Sam.

The weather could not have been more perfect, and we all had a great time working with this super sweet couple!

Jia and Troy say their “I Do’s” at the Twin Oaks Golf Club in San Marcos ~

March 31st 2012

Today our wedding adventures took us to San Marcos and the Twin Oaks Valley Golf Club for the wedding of Jia and Troy. Twin Oaks was a new venue to work at for us, so a few weeks before we met out there with Jia, Troy and their coordinator Jill to scout out the area and brainstorm some ideas for where and when we would do all f their photos on the wedding day.

The staff at Twin Oaks was great, very helpful, they were even able to accommodate our couples request for 8 golf carts  to get the bridal party to our selected photo spots on a day where the course was super busy with golfers…. Thanks Twin Oaks!

Everyone was a little worried rain might dampen things a bit but by ceremony time the sun peeked out and everything was beautiful! Jie and Troy’s family and bridal party were all wonderful, we had a great time working with everyone!

Here are a few of our favorite shots of the day that we feel tell he story better than words……

Because they wanted to do all of the photos with the bridal party out on the course before the wedding, we set up a sepecial “First Look”.

After the family group photos, we were back out on the course with Jia and Troy for some fun shots.

LOVED this little culvert out on the course for some non traditional off the wall shots!

The bride and grooms first dance was.. yes.. AH_mazing! It started out with a traditional slow dance then amped up into a crazy fun choreographed dance to Lady Gaga’s Poker Face… well done guys!

Our DJ for the night Bill Calhoon had the dance floor packed!

YES! The little dude gets it!
